I grew up in a church where my grandmother took me to Sunday school every Sunday. The hymns, prayers, and Bible stories still warm my heart to this day. Once I merely followed without truly understanding the meaning of trusting Christ. Now I deeply realize that genuine faith isn’t about outward imitation, but rather the Holy Spirit working in the heart to awaken life. As a sinner, I need God. Only through sincere repentance, humility, obedience, and complete surrender can I establish a real relationship with Him and experience spiritual rebirth.
For me, baptism is the testimony of dying, being buried, and rising with Christ. It symbolizes the death of my old self, the cleansing of sin, and the receiving of new life in Christ. This is not merely a ritual, but a rebirth of my soul?the beginning of my determination to surrender myself and let the Lord take charge. Just as Mary Magdalene poured out the perfume and gave herself wholeheartedly, I too willingly entrust myself completely to God. This baptism marks the spiritual covenant I have made: to live no longer for myself, but for Christ who died and rose for me, walking toward new life in His grace and truth.
